Marija Nikčević rođena je u Nikšiću. Nakon završenog Pravnog fakulteta u Podgorici, stiče akademsko zvanje TV producenta na Fakultetu dramskih umjetnosti na Cetinju (UCG). Magistrirala je produkciju na istom fakultetu sa temom „Medijski sadržaj za djecu i mlade u digitalnom dobu“.

Producentkinja je nekoliko kratkih igranih filmova kao i dugometražnog igranog filma “Iskra” (r. Gojko Berkuljan) koji je 2018. godine bio crnogorski kandidat za nagradu Oscar u kategoriji za najbolji strani film. Urednica je više publikacija u oblasti kulture.

Radila na filmskim i pozorišnim projekatima, te kao koordinator i menadžer na projektima u kulturi: #SYNERGY – Razvoj klasične muzike na Zapadnom Balkanu, Međunarodni festival KotorArt, Kotorski festival pozorišta za djecu, Projekat CIRCE - Common Initiatives to pRomote CinEma across Italy - Albania – Montenegro, Internacionalni TV Festival Bar, Light Residence workshop – ArTVision, Program podrške razvoju kulture u Nikšiću, Agro Dizajn, Međunarodni festival glumca Nikšić i sl. Najbogatije poslovno iskustvo stekla u oblasti marketinga u kulturi.

Trenutno je zaposlena u Filmskom centru Crne Gore kao savjetnica za međunarodnu saradnju, promociju i plasman. Osnivač je NVU „Ficus“ iz Nikšića.

She is currently employed at the Film Center of Montenegro as an advisor for international cooperation and promotion. Marija is also the founder of NVU "Ficus" from Nikšić.
